Holiday price
The price of your holiday will be confirmed to you. Special rates are available for returning guests - please ask for details. All prices include VAT.

Free amenities
We provide bed-linen and towels; cots and high chairs (no linen); TV with full Sky package; DVD and CD library; WiFi; fishing (within season); local maps; use of bicycles, boats, kayaks and canoes.

5-star amenities
Bathrobes, slippers and luxury toiletries are provided in 5-star lodges.

Senior citizens' discount
We will deduct 10% from each senior citizen's share of your total holiday price. For example, if a party of four includes two senior citizens, a discount of 10% on half of the total cost applies.

Children's discount
Children under 16 receive the same discount as senior citizens. Childen under 5 go free.

Payment fees
Credit card transactions incur a fee equivalent to 2.5% of the total charge. Debit card and cheque payments incur a £1 charge. Payment by BACS transfer is free of charge - please contact Cameron for details.

Electricity and gas
The first £10 of electricity is free. When chargeable usage is charged by meter, read on arrival and departure, and calculated at the published rate of 20p per unit. Capercaillie, Stob Binnein, Curlew and Merlin Cottages have a low-rate evening tariff of 10p per unit. Settlement must be made on departure. All barbecue gas is free.

WiFi
A free wifi service is available in Reception and the surrounding grounds. WiFi is also available in Whooper, Eagle, Heron, Buzzard, Capercaillie, Stob Binnein, Merlin, Curlew and Lapwing Lodges.

Smoking
All properties are NON-SMOKING.

Number of guests
Lodges accommodate the number of persons shown on the tariff. Occupation must not exceed the lodge's maximum.

Pets
Dogs are permitted in certain 4 star properties by prior arrangement only, at a charge of £25 per week or £12.50 for a short stay. We are dog-lovers at Portnellan, but in the interests of safety and enjoyment your pet must be kept under control at all times. Please be aware the surrounding lands are working farms with sheep and cattle. A cage is preferred for your pet to rest in, but at the very least you must being suitable bedding. Pets cannot be allowed on chairs or beds. Please use a pooper-scooper.

Arrival and departure
Arrival can be at any time after 5pm. Lodges must be vacated by 10am so we can prepare for our next guests. Later departures may be charged as an extra day. If you plan to arrive late in the evening please let us know in advance so we can ensure you're well taken care of.

Grocery pack
A pack of groceries can be provided on your arrival day. Please complete a form and phone, send, fax or email. Please settle the bill when you arrive.

Important: Security deposit
A security deposit of £100 is required on arrival. Any damage, breakage or spillage in your lodge should be reported so we can maintain the high standards our guests expect. Repairs or extra cleaning may incur an additional charge, which must be paid before departure.

Cleaning surcharge
When you arrive at your lodge or cottage you will see that the property is cleaned and maintained to a very high standard. You are expected to maintain these high standards of cleanliness in the lodge throughout your holiday. Upon departure the property must be left in the same condition as it was found. We have a team of housekeepers but they are not slaves - so please respect the property as your own and do not present us with the embarrassing situation of having to ask for a cleaning surcharge of up to £100. Please note this includes the barbecue. Glasses do get broken, but they do have to be replaced, so please note there will be a charge for broken glasses.

Payment terms
Full weeks: A deposit of £200 is required on booking and the balance must be paid no later than 8 weeks before your arrival. Cancelled holidays are subject to the charges detailed below. Cancellation Indemnity insurance is available on request at a small additional cost. Short stays (less than full weeks) must be paid in full on booking.

Cancellation charges
If you're not able to enjoy the holiday you've booked, we recommend you tell us as soon as you can. Cancellation charges are based on the likelihood of re-selling your holiday.
8 weeks before: deposit retained
8-6 weeks before: 50% holiday cost
6-4 weeks before: 60% holiday cost
4-2 weeks before: 80% holiday cost
2 weeks before: full holiday cost
